Obituary of Gordon Dale Yost

Gordon Dale Yost Of Gig Harbor, Washington, passed at the age of 74 from this earthly life to his eternal home in Paradise on Wednesday, the 21st day of September, 2011. Born to Samuel and Molly Yost on May 17, 1937 in Tacoma, Washington, Gordon is survived by his wife Sandra Yost, children Kristin Berthold, Gregory Yost and Jason Yost, sister Janet Randall, and 14 grandchildren. His parents and brother, Gary Yost, passed before him. Retired as an IBM Customer Service Tech in 1992, he has since spent his days tinkering in his woodshop, making new friends around the globe on Ham Radio, faithfully visiting with old friends, and serving as devoted father to his beloved granddaughter, Anna Lee Owens. Gordon was a faithful husband, a loving and self-sacrificial father, and a humble disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ. He will forever be held in the highest esteem in our hearts, and we will cherish the day we see him again face to face. "I have fought the good fight, I have finishe d the race, I have kept the faith. Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8" Gordon's life will be celebrated at a memorial service to be held on Saturday October 8 at 1pm, at Sumner United Methodist Church, Sumner, Wa.
