Obituary of Edna F. Maras

Edna Francis Maras "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord, that they may rest from their labors, and their good works do follow them." REV 14: 13. Edna Maras was born Edna Francis Shoemaker, the 5th of 11 children, on April 11th 1921 in Montesano Washington. A wonderful servant all of her life, she was a caregiver at an early age to six brothers and a sister. She married Percy Maras in Port Orchard Washington on July 22nd 1939. Her family was her life, her door always open, and to the age of 82 giving regular dinners for the entire family at their beautiful homes in Buckley and Bonney Lake. Our beloved mother departed this life on September 3rd, 2011. She is survived by her son, Timothy Maras (Pam), daughters Sharon Gregg (Douglas), Shirley Wolcott (Jan), and Kathleen Namy (Keith). Grandchildren Ben, Michael, Anne, Julie, Pamela, Kelly, Taylor, Marcy, Kim, Kristen, Kyle, Stephanie, Suzanne and Saylor. 25 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband Percy and son, Roger, in February 2005; and grandsons, Jason Andrew Wolcott and Jared Reese Namy. We are thankful to know she is home and at rest because of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Funeral Services will be Thursday September 8th at 11am, Puyallup Community Baptist Church, The Rev. Ronald Ulmen officiating. Interment will follow at Sumner Cemetery. Arrangements by Curnow Funeral Home.
