Obituary of Mario Gregory Rubio

Mario Gregory Rubio was born on February 28th, 1972 to Maurice and Patricia Rubio. Mario grew up in the Santa Clarita Valley in Valencia, CA enjoying being the baby brother to his big brother Maurice and big sisters Victoria and Josie. Mario loved swimming and definitely seemed related to a fish being on many swim teams even on one that participated in the Junior Olympics. While attending Hart High, Mario played football for the Hart Indians and then graduated in 1990. Mario then went on to attend College of the Canyons finishing an AA degree in Criminal Justice. Since he was set on being a Bruin, he got accepted into UCLA and began taking classes in Sociology. He was able to work as a Campus Security Officer and participated in the fraternity through The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints Institute program. Mario then met Jaime Green through an online website and sparks flew so they married in 2001. They lived in Orange County, CA area where Mario began working in Social Services. With an itching to move to the beautiful state of Washington, Mario received and accepted a job offer to work for the City of Seattle in 2005. While living in the Seattle area, Mario and Jaime were able to buy a home, go on many adventures exploring the Pacific Northwest and became foster parents. Mario was beloved by his friends and family for his way of cooking quite the meal and ability to just talk about anything. He will be sorely missed by all who knew this wonderful man.
