Obituary of Rudolf Leichsenring

Rudolf 'Bud' Leichsenring left us July 2, 2011. His wife of 52 years, Dora, was by his side. Bud was born in Baltimore Md. July 31, 1939 and decided to make his home in Edgewood, Wa. after serving in the Air Force at McChord and meeting his beloved wife on a blind date. Bud worked for over 30 years with the major railroads as a pipe fitter-sheet metal worker. His family and friends will miss his quiet,gentle way. Bud's affections were loyal and deep. His daughter, Anita, passed on last Dec 25. He has a son, Richard and grandchildren, Seth, Dustin, Alycia and Cindy. His sister, Evelyn Wood, husband Ken, their 3 children and numerous grandchildren, live in Edgewater, Md. . After retirement Bud helped Dora assemble beautifully made quilts, many being donated to soldiers at Madigan Hospital. Bud was a member of the Edgewood Mountain View Lutheran Church. A memorial service will take place at the church on Friday, July 8 at 10:00. Remembrances may be made to the Mountain View Lu theran Church Memorial Fund or 'The Seeds of Change' church food fund.
