Obituary of Marion Hart

Marion was born in Vancouver, BC to Amandus and Anna Jorgeson. She was the oldest of four children, including Robert, Betty, and June. In the 1930’s, the Jorgeson family moved to Capitol Hill in Seattle. Marion met her husband, Richard Hart, at a dance hall and they were married for 24 happy years. The Harts moved to Magnolia in the 1950’s and Federal Way in the 1970’s. Marion had one son, Gary, who brought her joy and the gift of two grandchildren who called her “Oma”. Marion worked as an executive secretary in Seattle and was one of the first to go up in the Space Needle. She was active in church and the 1918 Club, through which she traveled around the world. She had a great sense of humor which she shared every Thursday at the Ladies’ Lunch. Marion was a big supporter of Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, attending the Festival of Trees for 10 Years. She is survived by her grandchildren Greg (Erika) and Geni (Geoff), great grandchildren, Gavin and Noah, sister-in-law Dorothy, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, her son, her parents and her siblings. Funeral Mass will be held March 23 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Federal Way with an interment ceremony at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline. Remembrances can be made to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital.
