Obituary of Robert Washburn

Bob sailed peacefully away for fairer seas Thursday morning April 26th, 2007 after his second battle with cancer. Born December 5th, 1949 in Puyallup he is survived by his loving parents Jim and Mary, his wife Donna, his two sisters Cathey Meek (Barney) and Patricia Grosso (Dave), his four children Gina, Jesse, Julie and Jim and his five grandchildren. Known for his eternal optimism and unique sense of humor Bob was often looked to for guidance, advice or a good laugh. He spent most of his career at Wesco Electrical Distribution in Seattle where he had another wonderful family of colleagues who were always “in his corner”. Though he was taken too early and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him; he is finally safe and happy in “Margaritaville” where the sun always shines, the drinks are always cold and the fish are always biting. A celebration of his life will be held at Sumner United Methodist Church at 3pm Monday afternoon April 30th. The service will be followed by a reception; please contact the family for more details.
