Obituary of Alan B. Ecklund

Alan B. Ecklund was born in Auburn, WA June 8,1947 to Robert W. and Vivian Ecklund (both deceased), Al passed away February 1, 2011 at home with his family by his side. He is survived by his wife Louise (Dougher) of 44 years, son Lon (Lynette), grandsons Bryant and Brandon of Davis, CA, daughter Tamara (Vincent) Duffney, grandson Donovan (Bri) and granddaughter Courtney of Tacoma, siblings Robert E.(Betty), of Tacoma, Curt (Helen), of Cottonwood, CA, Dean (Janet), Dennis (Karen), predeceased sister Dorothy (Frank Holdener), of Tacoma, special friends Fran, Clay and Mary, Bill, and two dogs, Toby and Bambie. Al was an avid hunter, missing elk season for the first time in 44 years this past fall due to illness. Al's hunting buddies from Potlicker camp are Potlicker, Double D, Tater, Flipper, Sponge Bob no-pants, Road Kill, Little Viking, Puddy Cat, The Gov, Shaggy, Fast Eddy, Mac, Marty, Yoda, The Hall Brothers, Big Mac, Hansel, Little Abner, Gut pile, Goat, Baby Huey and Elk Dancer. God bless all of you for making it possible to keep him up on the mountain as his health declined. Services will be conducted at Graham Emmanuel Baptist Church, 224th and Meridian in Graham, on Saturday, February 5, 2011, at 11 AM. Donations to G.E.B Church or Make-A-Wish.
