Obituary of Charles Glaser

Charles “Chuck” Kenneth Glaser, our beloved Husband, Father, Son, Brother, Grandfather “Papa” or “Grumpa” lost his sudden battle with cancer on April 20, 2023 at the age of 64, surrounded by his loved ones. Chuck was born on June 29, 1958, in Puyallup, WA to Jean & Kenneth Glaser.

A lifetime resident of South Hill, Chuck attended Rogers High School and finished out his education with Clover Park Technical College. Chuck was a devoted husband who worked hard to provide for his family. He spent over 40 years at Gem Fabrication, where he was a jack of all trades, working as a pipe fitter, fabricator, mechanic, machinist, and welder. Chuck was a genius and perfectionist in his trade and often was depended on to design and build innovative machines for plant operations.

Chuck had a lifelong passion for racing and nothing brought a bigger smile to his face than sharing stories of nights spent at the Puyallup Dragstrip. He also loved camping, boating, jeeping, and tinkering in his shop. Chuck was a collector of unique motorized toys that he shared in making memories with his children and grandchildren. He had a love for hot rods and particularly his 1923 Ford “T” Bucket.

Chuck is survived by his wife of 44 years, Kimberli Glaser; his three children, Kirsten Ward, Jenel (Bill) Yeamans, and Kenneth Glaser; his mom, Jean Glaser; his sister, Sue (Rich) Welfringer; and his seven grandchildren, Alyssa Roth, Daylon Glaser, Lilyann Roth, Kaylee Glaser, Sawyer Haugen, Caleb Yeamans, and Evalyn Yeamans. He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Glaser.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, April 28th at Hill Funeral Home (217 E Pioneer, Puyallup). Viewing from 12-1:30pm and service at 2pm; and join us in celebrating his life at his favorite place, Mazatlan, at 5pm (10302 198th St E, Graham) as we lift our margaritas in his honor. Chuck will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
