Obituary of Steven Pearson

Steven "Steve" Pearson, 74, of Seattle, WA area passed away on April 02, 2023 from cancer. Survived by two sons: Donald and Miguel; wife, Miriam (Missy) and very beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. Survived by sibling: Blanche (Gary) Freeland. Preceded in death by brothers Wilbur Pearson, Jr, (Helen), and Vincent Pearson; parents, Wilbur L. Pearson, and Anna Lucile Sanderlin; sisters Claudine Luppi (Hobart), Joella Connors, Selma Reed, and Nancy Storey. Funeral service and Interment will be held on [April 17, 2023 at 9:00am at Tahoma National Cemetery].

Steve was raised and educated in Lewiston, Idaho and went to college in Riverside College in CA as well as in TCJC in Fort Worth, TX. He had a long career in Manufacturing Planning & Scheduling (Oil tools/equipment and Aerospace) and worked longest with the Baker-Hughes Company in California, Oklahoma, Houston, TX, and Tripoli, Libya. He retired from TECT Aerospace in Kent, WA in Sept. 2019. He also served in the Military - US Army, a Vietnam veteran and was stationed in Germany. He was a nature lover, a voracious reader (science fiction and natural history) and enjoyed bird and wildlife watching. He was a loving husband and father, and his top priority was his family. He was an excellent provider and made sure his sons get their college education. He was also kind and generous to his and his wife’s extended family in the Philippines when they were in need of financial assistance. His early career prior to and after the US Army was working for his dad’s (Wilbur Pearson) contracting business building Mormon churches mostly in the Pacific Northwest.
