Obituary of Adam Joseph Norton

Adam Joseph (AJ) Norton was born February 5th, 1990 at Ft. Carson, Colorado to Russell William & Lori Ann (Fuller Neal) Norton.  AJ tragically passed away on March 11th, 2023 in Kent, Washington. 

 

AJ and his family, including little brother Jacob, moved to Oregon after his dad left military service.  He spent his early years in Aloha, Klamath Falls, and Salem Oregon before moving to Covington, Washington at age 12.  The family moved back to Salem when AJ was 17.  He earned his GED with honors at age 18.

 

AJ was an accomplished athlete as a young person, playing basketball, wrestling and his great loves, baseball & football.  He also loved to swim.  AJ attended church with his parents where he loved AWANA.  He accepted Christ in grade school and was baptized by his dad.  AJ loved being outside and creating things for people in his workshop.  He recently took up RC cars as a hobby and loved to read fantasy books.  AJ also loved animals of any kind, especially dogs and cats.

 

AJ began a career in remodeling in Albany, Oregon before moving back to Washington in his early 20’s.  He excelled at many aspects of carpentry, earning a fantastic reputation in the Kent/Covington, Washington area.  AJ opened his own company, Norton Home Remodeling in 2016.

 

AJ married Sharaya Dawn Massey on August 21st, 2015 in Maple Valley, Washington.  AJ and Sharaya created a beautiful family with their children Aiden, Austin and Londyn.

 

AJ is survived by his wife, Sharaya; children Aiden Ralph, Austin Joseph & Londyn Rae; his parents Russ & Lori Norton; brother Jacob (Aleha) Norton; grandmother Inez Neal; grandparents Larry & Karen Fuller; grandmother Elizabeth Norton; nieces & nephews Elsa, Asher, Nora & Theo Norton, numerous beloved aunts, uncles and cousins.   He was preceded in death by his Pop, Harlan Neal; his grandparents William Norton & Judy & Ed Becerra; & uncle Robert Neal.

 

In lieu of flowers the family asks that any donations be made to benefit the children’s future.
