Obituary of Richard Dale Barcus

On February 18th 2023, Richard Dale Barcus, loving husband, father, brother, and friend passed away peacefully at home in Auburn, Washington surrounded by family.  Dick, as many knew him by, is survived by his loving wife Debbie of 30+ years, their children Susan (Dan), Michele, Darla (Steve), Jollie (Wayne), Ken (Rhonda), Joe, Tammy (Ed), and Tonia; 18 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren.

Dick was known as a generous, compassionate, loving soul.  He loved the outdoors, especially spending time camping with family and friends.  He had a love for old cars.  He spent many a weekend at the car shows, either with his truck, his brother’s truck or looking at trucks.  He loved his quiet time but never passed up time with his family.

He graduated from Lincoln High School in Tacoma, Washington in 1967 and immediately enlisted in the US Navy where he dedicated 9 years of service to protect his country.  He had a successful 29 year career with The Boeing Company where he spent time as a Trainer, an Electrician and a Mechanical Technician.  He then bought an automotive paint business.  As a sole proprietor, he supported the area between Seattle and Eatonville providing automotive paint to many vendors for 15 years.

He will be greatly missed by his loving family and always remembered in their hearts.
