Obituary of Larry Lee Gentry

Larry Lee Gentry, 75 of Eatonville, Washington passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Puyallup, Washington from complications due to congestive heart failure. 

 

Larry was born on Monday, March 10, 1947 in Atoka, Oklahoma to Leila and Samuel Gentry. Larry was raised in Atoka and during that time his mother met Doyle Usery and they welcomed Larry and his older brother Lloyd in Orange County, California as they continued younger years there. He than fell in love with Vickii as they went to Las Vegas, Nevada and eloped with two dear friends, Dick and Judy Cawley on May 3, 1970.

 

Larry and Vickii then moved to Tacoma and started their family ending up with 3 children Allan, Scott, and Julie. Larry always worked hard in the lumber industry and for more than 20 years. Larry retired from Lumbermen’s Building Centers in Graham on July 19, 2013.

 

Larry was a loving, caring, supportive husband, father, step-father, father in law, uncle, and grandfather. He enjoyed spending time with his brother, family, friends, hunting, fishing, playing slot machines, and working in his yard.

 

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Vickii, children Allan, Scott, Julie, Ron and Frances, nieces Christy and Missy, nephew Doug, grandchildren Kalei, Becca, Ricky, Madisynn, Conner, Dakota, Temperance, Jadon and great granddaughter Azalea.

 

We will be having a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, June 18, 2022 from 2:00 - 6:00 at The Fruitland Grange in Puyallup, WA.
