Obituary of Diane Marie Rose

Diane Marie Rose was born September first, 1949 to Henry and Betty St. John in Ashland, Michigan.  She spent her early childhood there as well as Wisconsin before moving to Washington State.  Diane’s siblings include her older brother Jerry St. John of Federal Way, WA, older sister Darlene Anderson of Edmonds, WA who preceded her in death, younger sister Mary S.t John of Seattle, WA, and youngest sister Carol St. John of Seattle, WA.  In 1970, Diane met John David Rose who would become her husband and love of her life.  Diane and her husband spent their time in Alaska as well as Washington state hunting, fishing, camping and enjoying nature.  In 1973, Diane had a daughter, Rena Sue Bjorkman who resides with her husband Jason David Bjorkman. Diane was blessed with three grandchildren: Payten Rose Jones, Hayley Jaden Jones and William David Bjorkman, all of Ellensburg, WA. Diane also had nieces, Shelly and her husband Roy Martinsen of Edmonds WA, Chaunt’e  Penick of Sacramento, CA, and Michelle St. John of CA.

Diane’s family and friends were her life.  Her love of people and kind heart touched many during her time on Earth.  Diane’s purpose was to bring joy to humanity.  She endeavored daily to assist any and all whom needed her.  She never failed to reach for her fellow man in hopes of brightening their day through encouraging words or her beautiful smile.  Diane’s acts of kindness were never random.  They were intentional.  Her intent and selflessness stemmed from her faith, love and devotion for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  Diane was a member of Holy Disciples Catholic Church of Graham WA where she attended and participated in service.  In addition to church, Diane loved the outdoors, going for drives, cooking, baking, yard sailing in search of a “good deal”, a good cup of coffee, and just making memories whether large or small with family or friends.  Two friends she met later in life who are forever, “her angels” are Matt and Meaw Drolette of Graham, WA.

Diane’s loving heart and supportive spirit will be greatly missed by all her family and friends.   Her community will suffer a loss but may we all take comfort in the knowledge that on February 28th, 2022,the story of Diane Marie Rose did not end. Instead, it was truly the beautiful beginning of her eternity, for she entered heaven wrapped in the loving arms of Jesus Christ, reuniting with her husband, earthly father and mother, sister, and cherished friends who preceded her in Earthly passing. Diane Marie Rose (Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Aunt, Grandmother, Friend )May every hurt or doubt be forever extinguished.  May incomprehensible love fill you.  May beauty reside in every direction your soul turns.  Please glimpse at us every so often to remind us of what awaits.  We will do our best and find you again when it is our time.  We love you!
