Obituary of Sean Frederick Hand

Sean Hand went to join his mother and brother in paradise on Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 8:35 am, after fighting an almost 6-year battle with Sarcoidosis. Sean passed while receiving hospice care in the comfort of his own home in Puyallup, Washington

Sean was born on Sunday, May 22, 1977 at Tacoma General Hospital in Tacoma, Washington to Dennis and Debra Hand (Deceased 2017). Sean’s siblings are Sarah Hand (Gretchen), Ricky Hand (Deceased 1999) and Sheryl Olson-Hand. Sean was an amazing father and his children were his world. He leaves behind six children: Izabella (12), Evelyn (9) Kapri (12), Weston (8), Brooklyn (6) and Liam (4). Sean was also a fun and loving uncle to Lillian Hand, and always considered Lilly to be his first baby girl and became daddy/uncle Sean. Their bond was unbreakable. Sean's love of his life was Samantha Farley, who he had proposed to on September 12th, 2019. They were engaged to be married. Without being able to have a wedding celebration, that did not stop them from being together through sickness and in health and until death do them part. In addition, Sean leaves behind many family members who loved, cherished and thought the world of him. His family as a whole was and always will be his legacy.

Sean graduated from Wilson High School in 1995 and furthered his education within information technology. Prior to Sean's disease progression, he took pride in working for Zones Inc, as an Order Management Specialist II.  After leaving his career in information technology, Sean had the opportunity to be a stay-at-home father for three years. He absolutely loved and cherished every day that he was able to make memories with the kids. From barbecues, walks on the river walk trail, to day picnic trips, he was always making memories with the kids.

Sean was always known to be the life of the party and entertaining guests was one of his favorite things to do. You would always hear the laughter of friends and family, food sizzling on the grill and Sean singing his favorite songs. Sean took a lot of pride in cooking and left many recipes for his family to enjoy for the years to come. Sean was also an avid Stephen King book reader. Reading for both knowledge and pleasure, it was a dear hobby of his for years. His latest hobby was his jeep "Ruby".  In the summer of 2021 you could hear Sean coming down the road a mile away, music blaring, top off and any passenger laughing and embracing the ride right along with him. On behalf of the family, we would like to give a very special thank you to Multicare Hospice for the end of life care, comfort and compassion.

A celebration of life will be held on May 15th, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Tacoma, WA.
