May was my dear friend from the moment I met her after moving from California to become her housemate for 17 wonderful years. She loved introducing me to all her favorite places around the state, and we had lovely outings together. May always oohed and ahhed about all the beauty she saw, and wanted to be sure I didn't miss. What fun she was! And she was also loving and interested in me, as I navigated graduate school. She shared her own struggles and challenges with me, as well. Everyone should have such a friend! I am blessed and glad she was mine.

May was always such a positive energetic presence, as anyone who knew her would agree.
It’s hard to believe she has left us. I can say that in my mind’s eye she is as fresh, alive, and chirpy as ever. She was a positive force to be reconned with and I will miss her.

We remember May's parodies and leading them at Silver Glen's Social hours on Fridays. We offer a toast in her memory.

Your mom and your family are such a big part of my childhood memories. We were so fortunate to grow up with our camp group, sharing campfires and backpack trips, and all the fun to go with it. I remember your mom's smile which was always big and welcoming, she even talked with a smile in her voice. I really appreciated the story of her life in the obituary--so many things I didn't know about her. What a remarkable life she lived! From high school, through college, all the way through her older years, always distinguishing herself with strength, talent, kindness, and a positive outlook. Thinking of you all.

What wonderful memories we have of your Mom and all of you. All those years of camping and backpacking as families together are some of my strongest, warm, and fun family memories. We remember your Mom as one of the most warm and positive persons, always bearing a smile for those present. I was so grateful for the opportunity to help facilitate your Mom, Barbara Durr, and Bob Blincoe all gathering in my Mom's (Barbara Walker's) room at Crista in the Fall of 2019. Carl Blincoe and I just sat back and listened to the four of them reminisce, laugh, and pass photos around, prompting even more memories of all the years they shared together. They had such rich long lasting friendships that hadn't faded a bit as they entered their 90's. Reading this Easter Day of your Mom's death and knowing her years of faith, I marvel that she too has entered her own resurrection, now in heaven.

We have many fond memories of May. Lived on the same street in Woodridgein in the 60's and 70's (Brian was our paper boy) and attended First Congregational Church with her for the past 50 years. Jim sang in the choir with her, and one of my best memories is when I chaired the Centennial Committee at church, and May wrote the hymn to commemorate the event in collaboration with Brien Wren. Indeed, May's life was a live well lived, and we feel honored to have known her. Condolences to the entire family. Jim and Sally Gray
