Obituary of Beverly Ann Wright

Born August 10th, 1938, in the comfort of her home located in Columbia Heights Minnesota, Beverly grew up with her mother, father and three siblings during the great depression. Although times during the depression were difficult, the family unit was strong, and Beverly was very close to her brother and sisters and often shared great memories of her childhood.

Beverly graduated from Highline High School in 1956 and soon thereafter joined the Air Force where she held the rank of Airman 2nd class and served as a teletype for 3 years during the Korean war. A very Patriotic woman, Beverly loved our country and was devoted to the values of Love, Service, Respect and Family.

A loving and devoted wife for more than 50 years, Beverly met the one and only love of her life, (Arthur Wright) with mutual friends at a Nascar event in the Monroe Evergreen Speedway. After only a couple dates, they both realized that they were meant to be together so, they married only a couple months later April 2nd, 1971.

As a career, Beverly worked at various Hospital locations throughout Western Washington as an administrator performing clerical duties, supporting both the Billing and Human Resource departments. In her later years, she tried her hand as an entrepreneur and opened the Yum-Yum Candy Shop in Des Moines Washington, providing sweet smiles to the community there for more than 3 years.

Beverly has attended Calvary Community Church for the last 20 years and enjoyed supporting the community with various Volunteer programs in their Service group.

Extremely devoted to family, Beverly, and Arthur where always quick to help family and friends in need and often opened their home to those that needed a temporary place to stay or physical assistance. Beverly was blessed with a servant’s heart and was extremely devoted to her children and would always be there for them for whatever they may have needed. She was also very proud of her children and all their accomplishments.

Beverly loved to both collect and create Art and spent much of her time drawing as well as creating specialized art framed with jewelry as well as crocheting many Blankets. She loved vibrant colors and lots of BLING. She also enjoyed family get togethers and camping trips. She loved the music of Barry Manilow and the old John Wayne westerns
