Obituary of Linda Louise Poste-Armstrong

Linda Louise Poste-Armstrong was born to Alson and Edna Poste on June 22, 1948, in Puyallup, Washington, and after a second battle with breast cancer, passed away peacefully on February 25th, 2022, at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, Washington.

Linda was raised in Sumner, Washington surrounded by her cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. After graduating from Sumner High School, Linda went on to work for Boeing as an Industrial Engineer for 32 years, and in her spare time, loved sewing/embroidery, ancestry research, and visits with her kids, grandkids, and great grandchildren.

Linda was preceded in death by both parents, and her brother James. She leaves behind her husband of 42 years Dennis, and their children: Gina (Mike) Shackelford, Jami Armstrong, Kevin (Kelli) Armstrong. Grandchildren: Ethan & Zachary Shackelford and Aubrey & Jackson Armstrong. Great Grandchildren: Amaya Lininger and Aspen Shackelford.

A Committal Service will be held for Linda on March 25th, 2022, at Sumner Cemetery at 1:00PM, followed by a celebration of life at Glenwood Tree Farm in Tacoma, Washington.

Our family requests in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to Franciscan Hospice House in University Place, Washington in Linda’s name. We would have been lost without their guidance, knowledge, compassion, and excellent care of Linda and our family while she was there.
