Obituary of Sonja Workman

"Remember me with smiles and laughter, for that is how I will remember you all. If you can only remember me with tears, then don't remember me at all."
Sonja Workman, beloved wife, mother and Granny Sony was called home on September 28th, 2021 to be with God after her health took a turn.
She is survived by her husband of 43 years, 2 daughters, 2 actual grandbabies and several 'adopted' ones, her brother, her best friend Tammi, 2 more 'daughters', step parents, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, friends and many more.
She is preceded in death by her mom, dad, uncles, sister, nephew, mother and father in law and several more beloved friends and family members.
Sonja met her husband, Cory, in high school and married shortly after. She graduated from Fife High School and started beauty school soon after. However years later she found a passion that motivated her work with children. She was a Girl Scout leader for both daughters and always tried to make sure ALL her girls had everything they needed. This led to a career working for Girl Scouts and than moving on to becoming a Casa case manager advocating for children's well beings.
She spent the last few years with her husband, family, friends and spoiling her 'granny's smily girl' and more recently her adorable second grandbaby..whoohoo it's finally a boy!
She will be loved and missed by all who had their lives affected by her because 'Love doesn't die, people do. So when all that's left of me is Love, give me away'
Services will be held at her church Christ The King Lutheran located at 245 Valley Ave. Sumner, Wa. 98390 on November 13th 2021 at 1pm.
