Margarita Samuelson

Obituary of Margarita N Samuelson

With profound sadness, we announce the departure of Margarita Navarro Samuelson, our loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sibling, aunt and friend. Margarita passed away on Saturday, August 21, 2021 in the comfort of her husband Gary, and found her peace with the Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was 76.

Margarita was born on June 12, 1945 in Hanford, CA. She was the oldest of eight and is survived by her beloved brothers and sisters David, Barbara, Jesse, Lupe, John, Steven, and Kathy. She was mother to Jamie and Chris (Linda) and grandmother to Aaron, Joshua, Angela, Madeline and Katherine. She was married and in love with Gary for over 35 years. She will be remembered by her many friends, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Margarita lived a full and wonderful life. She enjoyed spending time with her friends and family at her home in Edgewood, WA and her second home in Fresno, CA. She loved her work as a nurse and her cars – a Volkswagen Scirocco, a Mitsubishi Eclipse turbo, a Toyota Celica convertible, a Jeep Grand Cherokee, a Nissan Maxima with video screens in the headrests for her grandkids, and a Lincoln, to name a few. She also loved her shows – especially hospital dramas like House, crime thrillers like Law and Order and most recently, Masterpiece Theater and Bosch, and of course a bit of Fox News. She loved her music – particularly her yacht rock for brunching playlist featuring Hall and Oates, Boz Skaggs, Steely Dan, The Doobie Brothers, Michael McDonald and Christopher Cross. She occasionally made some delicious homemade tortillas, impossible taco pie, salsa fresca, chicken enchiladas, tamales, and potato salad – but honestly, it wasn’t her thing. She was generous with both her time and money and will be sorely missed by the many lives she touched.

She believed in the miracles of Jesus and the unerring word of God. She lived her life to be one with these miracles and words, to walk a path of righteousness and to set the example for others in the face of the Lord. She left nothing to chance and found her place in heaven. She awaits all of you there and welcomes you with open arms and a thankful heart.

While her soul is in heaven, her remains will be in view of Mount Rainier. A graveside service will be held at Mountain View Cemetery in Auburn, WA at 1:00PM on August 31, 2021. All are welcome to attend.
