Obituary of Gary Ray Pattee

Gary was born on February 2nd, 1954 and passed away after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer on February 27th, 2021.

Gary was born in Grand Rapids, MN but lived most of his life in Sumner, WA where he thoroughly enjoyed his small town, the slow life, listening to his favorite music in his beautiful backyard, and sharing life and laughter with his family and friends.

Gary prided himself on being fiercely loyal and dedicated to family, friends and his work. He started his career with Shope Concrete while in High School and spent over 40 years of his life giving his absolute best to his customers and fellow employees.

In recent years, Gary created his own music room filled to the brim with his extensive collection of musical instruments and regalia. His favorite part of that music room, though, were the people who often visited to play music with him; friends and family would often lovingly refer to such times as “Garyoke” (Karaoke).

Gary’s dedicated nature, tender heart, contagious laughter, and musical delights will be missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing and loving him.

Gary is preceded in death by his father – Raymond Pattee, by his beloved Donna Pattee, and his Aunt and Uncle, Mick and Leona Kauth.

Gary is survived by his Mother – June Pattee, his Brother – Craig Pattee, by his beloved Dyan Pattee, his children – Andrea (Peter) Lopez and Aaron (Melissa) Pattee, and his 3 grandchildren who he loved so much – Olivia, Pedro and Addison.

To quote one of Gary’s favorite artists, Daryl Hall:

“If you work hard, and you’re good, you can build something for yourself.”

Gary did just that – he worked hard, loved unconditionally and built a life for himself that made him happy.

Rest in paradise, Gary – we love you.
