Honored and blessed to know Denis and Marlys. We had the privilege to be their neighbors in Kenmore. Fond memories of loaning each other a cup of sugar and sharing the highs and lows of life over the fence. Marlys will be greatly missed and we know we will see her again!

We have great memories of over 12 years of Bible study shared together, and the reminder "We've got to have some fun, right?" Marlys would sound in with. She was a joy and delight and she will definitely be missed.

Lots of memories of way back in the 1950's - Camp Lloyd at the lake in MN, our parents celebrating birthdays together every March, riding in the pickup truck around Fergus Falls with Jim & Wes, watching Dragnet on their TV before we got a TV. And Marlys was there with her warm, friendly smile. She was always so cheerful!
We send our sympathy to the family.

I am so privileged to have had Marlys as a special valued Christian friend in HighSchool and at Bethel College. We so enjoyed a variety of good times together, especially playing trombone and trumpet together in band, church and in a brass ensemble at Bethel. She was always such an encouragement to me saying, “You can do it”!
Distance has separated us for decades, but I look forward to making Heaven’s music with her again in God’s Kingdom!
Grieving in our loss, but also in our Blessed Hope!

I have fond memories of Marlys at Seattle First Baptist Church. Not only was she in the choir but she taught primary Sunday School to a bunch of rowdy boys including my son and always with a happy attitude and smile. She excelled as hostess and cook not only at our camping cookouts but at dinner parties too. Marlys, your happy generous nature will be remembered by many people. Rest In Peace my dear lady.

I have such great memories being with this family. She was such a special neighbor, friend and mom. Out kids loved being together and I will never forget being in the next room in the ER with kids after a bike accident and fun camping trips. RIP dear one.
