One of the many things I enjoyed about Chris was his sense of humor. (Thus my choice of cheese candle - I'm sure he'd approve) We had a great time going out to dinner with Chris and Cami. Conversation and laughs were plentiful. Of all the things I thought would be challenging serving in our Elders Quorum Presidency together, I did not anticipate that our joking would be one of them. It was a serious mental challenge to stop ourselves if we got started telling jokes, making puns. I laughed until I cried so often. We were just in sync that way and it was always so much fun for me. I often needed that laughter due to stress at work, challenges with family, etc. I could always count on a smile and a laugh with Chris. I look forward to seeing him again one day and having an epic joke session. Miss you buddy. I'm thankful for your testimony of Jesus Christ, your example of service, your encouragement, your support, your friendship. I'm thankful that through Heavenly Father's plan that friends really can be friends forever. Until we meet again...

Our prayers go out to Cami and the family, like many, we were shocked to hear the news. I enjoyed working with Chris in the Stake offices, he always had a smile, was quick to laugh, and was willing and available to take on any task. Chris was reliable, faithful, wise, funny and diligent. He had rare tech skills and shared abundantly. In the weeks since his passing I have thought of Chris often; I miss him and feel the world is a less happy place with him gone. Our loss is heaven's gain; maybe Pete needed his help, or something important needed fixing, whatever the case, I am sure he is up there joking, uplifting anyone who comes near, and doing the work of the Lord. God be with you 'til we meet again...

We have known the Perry family for years. Chris was a very loved son of Pete and Dauna. He was the son that took care of them as they both failed in health. He had great love for them. As his sister Elise passed away in the spring of this year, he stepped up and took care of the details of her passing. He had to repeat this as his father died in September. Chris and Cami both worked so hard to get the family home ready to sell. Chris loved Cami as you could see his eyes light up every time she came near. His children adored him and he was such a great father to them. He will be so missed!

Virtual hugs all around for your family. When anyone needed to work a vcr/tv at church, Chris immediately came to mind as our one hope to make them work. Though we may not understand yet why he had to change sides, we do know God knows why. One day we will also. No one is taken before their time. He must have finished what he needed to in this life. You have an eternal family so this is only temporary. He is not far away. He will be checking in on each of you. Your challenge will be to recognize how he is trying to reach you. When you see or feel something, pause. Consider there are many coincidence’s that really are from the Lord. Be thankful for them. You can still talk to him, he will hear you. There is a bigger picture to tune in on. The tears will just happen even when you least expect them. They are ok. This is a huge adjustment for each of you. It will take time to function again, laugh again, feel whole again. Trust in the Lord. He will guide you. Love Bob and Karen

My friends ask me who Chris is and the best word I can think of is affable. He always had such a happy persona with him. Several years ago, he was walking by the library and picked up the stapler (I think he was talking to Bret Goff). He started talking about it being a red stapler. (reference to the movie Office Space). When I picture Chris, I think of him holding a red stapler.
John and I are so sorry that he is no longer here. We hope that he felt our prayers of love and strength while he was fighting this battle and that you all felt them as well. You all continue to be in our thoughts and our prayers. May God hold you in the hollow of his hand as you traverse this path.
Our sincerest condolences,
John and Chloie Ashe
