Kathleen Clark

Obituary of Kathleen Anne Clark

Kathleen is survived by her brother; Warren Craft, her children, Aimee Nicole Becker and Christopher Scott Clark, her grandchildren Sidonie Anne Clark, Shane Joseph McCollum, Ariel Anne Marie Clark and Coltyn James Michael Clark and great grandson, Rory Wallace Clark-Meyers.

Kathleen was born in San Mateo, CA May 15, 1939 to Warren Joseph Craft and Kathleen Florence Kenney.  She grew up with close friends; Mary Ellen Cook, Polly Perrigo and Sheila Elgaard who remained close with her throughout her life. Kathleen married Joseph Wallace Clark in Pearl Harbor, HI, May 14, 1966. Joseph proposed to Kathleen on their very first date that started out as a blind date with two other people. Joseph was serving in the US Navy at the time.

Kathleen worked in various capacities prior to her and Joseph adopting Christopher and Aimee in the early 1970s where she spent most of her employed years as a homemaker. Once her children were able to be home on their own, Kathleen went to school and received a license to be a Licensed Practical Nurse. She went on to work at Orchard Park Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fircrest, WA. She took the opportunity to have an early retirement upon the birth of her first grandchild, Sidonie. Kathleen loved all her grandchildren dearly and had unique and special relationships with each one.

Kathleen was a terrific homemaker who took pride in the cleanliness of her house.  She made many friends over the years, including many employees of the local Starbucks, and would often surprise friends and acquaintances with gifts.  Kathleen has always shown a genuine interest in getting to know people.  She kept in good contact with nieces and nephews and genuinely cared about keeping up with everyone’s life events.

A funeral service is being held at All Saints Parish on October 8, 2020.  Kathleen regularly donated to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and a memorial ID has been set up in her name. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Kathleen’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at www.stjude.org. Please use memorial ID #12156935.
