Kelly Comer

Obituary of Kelly Gerald Comer

In loving memory of Kelly G. Comer, the son of William Comer and Betty Murphy.  Kelly was born July 23, 1961 and departed this world to be with our heavenly Father on September 12, 2020.

There are no words to express how much we will miss him. Kelly was preceded in death by one sister Shelley Palmer.  He is survived by three sisters; Jill Coates, Coy Comer, Kaycie Moo, and one brother Scott Smith. He also leaves behind nieces and nephews, as well as his loving wife Annette Comer and Daughter Kellianne Comer, as well as his fur babies Mia, Zippy, and Hermione.

If you had the opportunity to meet Kelly then you were blessed to learn many valuable and inspiring lessons, and like most people who spent any time with him – they wanted to be just like him someday.

Kelly was a man of integrity, honesty, and loyalty to his family and friends, and had a passion for life.  He was a kind-hearted man who believed in second and third chances, there isn’t anyone he met he didn’t help in one way or another.  He always had the best advice and ideas. He would even be there for you if you needed a shoulder to cry on.

He loved music and loved to challenge anyone to a game of “Name that Tune”. So much singing and great memories of his unique dance moves will live on.

We’re going to miss his deep voice, his sparkling blue eyes, his charming personality and his “FANCY-FACE.”

Kelly was successful in everything he did. At a very young age he decided to drop out of school so that he could start working and making money.  Oh, how he loved counting the Benny’s! He started out with Auto Detailing and he was the BEST in the business. He then expanded into the Limousine business – everyone in Washington knew of “KELLY’S LIMOUSINES” – priceless memories. Then there was the Tanning Salon and the real estate investing.  So grateful for the beautiful homes we designed and enjoyed building together.  Finally, there was the successful car dealerships.  He was a born salesman; the customers loved him and loved his stories, but he loved the thrill of the sale most of all.  I’m not sure which one of his business adventures he was most proud of.

Kelly was that one guy who always had the fun toys, the nicest cars, boats, rv’s, race cars and anything that was the newest craze – he had to have it first.  Weren’t we LUCKY!!!!

Kelly was always happiest when he was working, but when he decided to pretend retire, we both were able to fulfill our dream to buy a Yacht. The “Only You” was our dream come true.  He believed this to be his biggest accomplishment.

Kelly was an amazing man that loved his family and friends wholeheartedly.  He was the BEST husband in the world and a wonderful, loving Father.  I have been blessed to spend 30 years with the man of my dreams and had the honor to share him with so many family and friends.

For this One-In-A-Million man, he lived a full life and there was not much he did not do.  Unfortunately in his final days he was suffering, unknowingly to most family and friends. He had lost HOPE and believed his life was never going to be the same because he was struggling with a traumatic brain injury.

He is at rest now and forever at peace.  We will always love him – his memory will live in our hearts forever.  Kelly was a gift from God, and we are grateful and blessed to have had him as a huge part of our lives. UNFORGETTABLE!       REST IN PEACE OUR “DIMPLE-DARLING”
