Obituary of Jeffrey Scott Olson

Jeffrey Scott Olson, 42, died at home in Tacoma on May 12, 2020. He was born May 7, 1978 at the USAF Hospital, Mountain Home Air Force Base in Idaho and grew up in Puyallup, WA.  He graduated from Rogers High School as a Pierce College Running Start Student in 1997.

After an apprenticeship with Peter Karstadt at Triangle Systems, he was a CNC Service Technician before starting his own business, Elite Technical Services (E-Tech) in 2011.

Jeff loved fixing things. His business installed, repaired and programmed the large CNC machinery that makes precision parts. Jeff often devoted seven days a week to his business. When family and friends would bug him about taking time off, he would tell them that his work was what he loved to do most. He did take time off to travel to Hawaii and take a trip to visit several European cities.

He also loved St. Bernards – especially his canine sons Thor, Duke and Cooper. He was fond of pizza, Coca Cola and Red Bull, Star Wars, building Ultimate Collector Series Lego models, playing Dungeons and Dragons, driving his Mustang convertible and solving engineering problems.

He volunteered at fundraisers for Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium, Tacoma #8 Rotary Club and the Tacoma - Pierce County Humane Society over the years.

He leaves behind his mother Deborah Larson (Mike Hudon), father Richard C. Olson (Kathleen), brother Eric Olson (Claire), stepbrothers Todd and Kip (Suesan) Pfeifle, grandmother Anneliese Olson, several uncles, aunts, cousins, good friends and business associates. He was predeceased by brother Richard Craig Olson.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Puyallup Animal Rescue https://www.paypal.com/fundraiser/charity/2157869  or the charity of your choice.

We look forward to celebrating Jeff’s life with family and friends at a later date.
