Our grandpa was truly a gem. If you knew him, you knew how infectious that smile was. Not possible to be in a bad mood with him around.
Too many incredible stories to share, from fishing derby’s to childhood overnights with Gram & Gramp. And how can you forget the trips to NorthWest Trek!?
I’m better because of you Grandpa Elmer!

Elmer always had the biggest smile when I saw him. It was hard not to smile with him or feel happy when he was around. He will be greatly missed.

Uncle Elmer was my favorite Uncle. He always had the biggest smile everytime I saw him.
Here are pictures of him with my oldest daughter taken in August of 1987 and one 30 years later with my youngest daughter on June of 2017.
He had that big smile in both!
My Dad (Dean) told me Elmer was his favorite brother in law. He has alot of great memories of them going hunting.
RIP Uncle Elmer
My love to the family

Grandpa Elmer had the brightest smile in any room. He always had the perfect joke or story to share and making others laugh brought him so much joy. I have so many wonderful memories with Grandpa, but I will always remember the little things about him. Things like watching him soak in the sun on the back patio, seeing him love on his little cat Katie, or sitting on his lap and trying to help him with his crossword puzzles. He meant so much to all of us in so many different ways.

My grandpa was quite the prankster. A normal weekend with gramps would start by him hiding around the hall way corner jumping out to startle me when I walked in the house. Then after Grandma made me take my shoes off he would hide them from me.When I finally found my shoes the laces would all be tied in knots and he would sit back and watch me try to untangle them. Never leave your stomach unprotected because at some point you were gonna get back handed in the gut and folded over!!!! Then to round off the day grandpa would hide his fake pile of dog crap on my pillow and you could hear him laugh from the livingroom. But the best he ever got me was when we went elk hunting. I went looking for him at our meeting spot around noon. I couldn't see him anywhere and little did I know he was laying in the bushes next to me on his back. At this time grandpa let out a growl and grabbed my boot! He scared the hell out of me! Between me screaming like a little girl and grandpa laughing hysterically we obviously didnt see any animals that day!!!! I can speak for all the boys in the family when I say that we lost our best friend, fishing partner, and hunting buddy.
Love you gramps! ---Kevin

I have many great memories of my grandpa . But one of my favorites is when I was a little boy we where at the beach and I thought I was fishing by using sand buckets in beach puddles . when I was not paying any attention he slipped an old dead fish into on of my buckets
I was so excited because I thought I had caught it
God i love that old man :( miss him so much .
But I will remember all the great times.
