Obituary of Jo Lee (Blyth) Burgi

Monday, November 25th, 2019, Jo, a loving and dedicated mother, sister and aunt passed away at the age of 59 peacefully from heart failure. Jo was born on November 5, 1960 in Seattle, WA to Margaret Helen (Sahlin) Blyth McDermott and William Tracy Blyth. 

Jo was a graduate of Lindbergh High School in Renton, WA (1979) and also attended Green River Community College taking general studies.
Jo married Ed Burgi, Jr in October of 1988. They lived in Auburn during their 11 years of marriage and had two wonderful daughters Kelsey (27) and Brianna (22).  She eventually moved to Puyallup, the city she called home and where she raised her girls.
Jo worked in the Grocery business for over 40 years holding various positions working for Johnny's, QFC and Safeway. While working for QFC as an assistant store manager in 1994 she was selected to be on the cover of the 1994 QFC Annual Report. Additionally, she was one of the first managers of the Safeway.com delivery service.

Outside of work, Jo loved to enjoy a good book and was a loving and devoted mother of her two daughters attending sporting events and school functions her kids were involved with. She had such a bubbly personality and was so fun to be around that she made friends wherever she went. Jo’s infectious smile, contagious laugh, caring and loving personality will be missed and treasured forever.     
She is survived by her two daughters Kelsey and Brianna, brother William T. Blyth Jr., friend and in-law Leanne Marberg Blyth, niece Alicia Pashon (Andrew), nephews Drew and Cory Blyth, and many other special family and friends. Jo is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret McDermott and William Blyth and her brother Kerry Blyth.
