Obituary of Troy Jensen

Troy Jensen, our fearless leader and eternal hero, died unexpectedly on December 3, 2019 at the age of 54.

Troy is survived by his parents Terry and Marsha Jensen; his adored wife Julie Jensen; his girls Jill Webb and Kailee Anderson; his son-in-laws Nate Webb and Matt Anderson; his precious grandchildren Easton, Jensen, Paige and Baylor; and his siblings Julie Zenger, Bret Jensen, and Tara Scott. Troy is preceded in death by his grandparents.

Troy was born in Pocatello, Idaho on October 1, 1965 to Terry and Marsha Jensen. He married Julie, his high school sweetheart and soul mate on June 19, 1987. Their daughters, Jill and Kailee were his pride and joy. He worked as the Director of Pricing for Oak Harbor Freight Lines for 25 years and was respected by all in the transportation industry.

Troy was everything. From lawn whisperer, to runner extraordinaire, to number one husband and dad… he was our rock. If there was ever a love story that was true, he and Julie wrote it. His smile and laugh were addicting. His attention to detail, rule following, and his moral compass were constant. He was our steady-eddy. His elevated sense of direction always kept us on course and never deviated from doing what was right. He always put our most worrisome questions at ease. He was our calm, our peace, our protector, and our unfailing support. He gracefully and humbly put his wife and family first; they meant everything to him. He was the most courageous man we knew and his character never wavered. In the end, he paid the ultimate selfless price by protecting his loved ones from his illness. To the leader of our foxhole, we hope you got one last fist pump as you crossed the finish line. We will spend the rest of our lives missing and loving you.

A family greeting will be held at 10:00AM on Monday, December 9, 2019 for all who would like to attend at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (13420 94th Ave E, Puyallup, WA 98373). The funeral service will directly follow at 11:00AM.
