Obituary of Joanne McCreery

A warm, gentle soul has left us to be with the lord. A loving mother and grandmother; Joanne was Born in Niles, Ca on December 16th, 1944. She will be gone, but always dearly remembered by those who knew her. Joanne was gracious, good -natured and quick with a smile. We will always remember her great love for Christmas, and how much she looked forward to celebrating with her children and grandchildren. She had been employed for the last few years at DaVita in Tacoma Joanne was preceded in death by her parents, Genevieve and Anthony Perry, and a sister, Cynthia. She is survived by her children, Gary (Eileen) Fortin, Valerie (Mike) Artley and Deena Stitt. She also leaves behind her grandchildren; Chad, Andrew, Hilary, Alyssa, Kaitlyn, Michelle and Johnny. Joanne also is survived by 3 sisters and a brother in California, as well as their family members, Close friend Anna Lundstrom, and 2 cats, skitters and Abby. A celebration of Joannes' life will be held with a memorial service on Saturday December 9th at 1 PM at Fern Hill United Methodist church in Tacoma, 501 S. 84th st. A reception at the church will immediately follow the service. Mom, we love you. You were taken from us way too soon, but the Lord has better plans for you.
