Obituary of Frank Hanson

Frank Hanson Jr. – Born December 9, 1931 to Frank and Theresa Hanson in Orondo, Washington and passed away on January 21, 2019 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Puyallup, Washington. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Kathryn Doud. Frank and his family moved to the Seattle and Sumner area during WWII. He went to Sumner High School, class of 1950, but graduated from Franklin High School in Seattle. He served in the U.S. Air Force in the early 50’s and then worked for Boeing for 42 years in various capacities. He belonged to the Puyallup Elks, Boeing Rats Club and Catholic War Vets. He was very active at St. Martin of Tours Catholic Church in Fife. Frank enjoyed mowing the lawn on his John Deere, making golf clubs, leather craft, wood working, playing golf, camping and RVing. He leaves his wife, Barbara Eng Hanson, of almost 64 years; his daughter Debra; son Robert and foster son, Ray Starwalt; three grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Services will be Monday, January 28th, with viewing at 10am, Rosary at 10:30 and Burial Mass at 11am at St. Martin of Tours. Reception to follow in the church hall with burial at Woodbine Cemetery in Puyallup. In Lieu of flowers, donation may be made to St. Vincent De Paul Society or the food bank, both out of St. Martin of Tours. As a family, we would like to thank all the physicians and nurses in the various clinic Frank attended. They were marvelous!!
