Obituary of Kenneth Allen Napier

Kenneth Allen Napier born March 18th, 1991 in Alexandria, Louisiana at Saint Francis Cabrini Hospital and died December 29th, 2018 in Seattle, Washington at the University of Washington Medical Center. He passed away after a hard fight with Sarcoma Cancer of the lung. Kenny, as he was called by family and friends, was raised as a military “brat” and spent his younger years traveling around the United States and he even lived in Schweinfurt, Germany for 2 ½ years. He settled in to Deweyville, Texas with his mother, Sonja Lee Craft née Hammers and lived there from 2nd grade through 8th grade. He moved to Everett, Washington with his father Timothy Lee Napier in March of his 8th grade year and they moved to Spanaway, Washington a year later. Kenny left school to work and make his own way through life, but chose to get his G.E.D. after deciding to join the military at the age of 19. He joined the Army on January 9th, 2012 and he spent 5 years as a Military Police Officer in the 108th MP Company, 503rd MP Battalion, 16th MP Brigade. He left the military on August, 15th, 2017 after being medically retired due to a shoulder injury incurred during an airborne jump. Kenny pursued a degree in Electrical Engineering at Wright State College in Dayton, Ohio and he finished his first semester, but was diagnosed with lung cancer during his second semester and moved to Kent, Washington to combat the disease. Kenny was an avid gamer, loved the Dallas Cowboys, and M.M.A. He had a soft spot for children and spent the last few weeks of his life donating to kids with Sarcoma who were not in the same financially stable situation that he was. During his fight he never once asked “Why me?” or lost hope. He had a huge heart and touched many people’s lives with his core belief in himself and what was right and wrong.
