Phyllis Moore, 84, passed away May 23 in Orting. She moved from Yelm to Orting in January of this year to spend her final days with family.

Born in Fulton, MI, she received her RN degree from Mercy College. She joins her husband of 55 years, Ovid, in Heaven after following him around the world during his Navy and Air Force careers.

She became a member of the Orting United Methodist Church earlier this year after a 34 year membership in the Yelm United Methodist Church. She proudly joined Daughters of the American Revolution and enjoyed quilting and genealogy.

She was survived by her children John (Barb), Sue (Larry), Mike (Diane), and 4 siblings, 11 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild.

Graveside service June 6, 2:15 pm, Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, a reception follows at Kent Fire Station #75, 15635 SE 272nd St.
